Gulf Oils proudly announces the 25th edition of Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally. Riders from all across the country are invited to take part in this 80km rally to be held on 6th July 2014. Flag off will take place from Our Lady’s Home in Parel at 8:30am and end at K-Star Hotel in CBD Belapur.
Gulf Monsoon scooter rally, which will give the novice as well as expert scooter riders to explore the full potential of the mechanicals of their scooter. Registrations are now open for this 80 km long rally-cum-race
Commenting on the rally, Mr. Shrikant Karani head of Sportscraft(Organizers) said, “This Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally could be one of the toughest. Last year, after the event, riders asked for something tougher. They will get it this year.”
“This is a unique rally for scooters and some manufacturers are assisting the riders this season with spare parts. A few riders maintain a scooter only to take part in this rally. The response has been excellent and we hope to receive in all 45 entries. The FMSCI rules will apply,” said Karani who as promoter of Sportscraft will be conducting the 347th motor sport event.
So many riders keep their old scooters in prime condition only to take part in this unique rally. Though the modern generation scooters of four-strokes have taken over, we have kept competition for two-stroke machines too,” the chief organiser add.
The Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally has drawn entries from many parts of Maharshtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and from Dehradun and Hyderabad. Bhopal’s Muzaffar Ali and local boy Rustom Patel are expected to tussle for this year’s title. The year’s winner will receive a trophy and Rs. 10,000 as prize money. The first and second runner up will receive Rs. 8,500 and Rs. 7,500.
A maximum of 40 entries will be accepted on first come basis.
