The 1st round of the MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Supercross Championship was  at the Ganesh Housing Grounds, S.G.Ahmedabad

Highway which witnessed 150 entries from riders across the whole nation. This event has seen the maximum participation in any off-road 2 wheeler racing event in almost 5 years.was a clear indicator of the frenzy and excitement that this event has in store for the year 2015.

This hot, humid and scorching day was dominated by the TVS Racing Team. The most prestigious Class which is the SX1 saw Aravind K.P (TVS Racing # 69) winning the overall class 1st place in Moto 1 & Moto 2 respectively & Abdul Waheed Tanveer (Team TVS) coming in second.

A very popular category in Ahmedabad is the ‘Locals’ Class; a class designed ONLY for riders
from the same city/state and this one was one exciting race to watch with over 50 entries. Winning this coveted class was Virendra Vaghel (Ahmedabad) from Vipul Prajapati & Fezan Ansari (Vadadora)

A special mention to the newly introduced class, which is the JR SX with all the participants being under the age of 15 years. These children were the real heroes in the eyes of the fantastic

Ahmedabad crowds and even received a standing ovation as they took a victory lap around the track.
Miss. Aneri Deepak Patel of the Ganesh flagged off the event.

GODSPEED Racing Pune along with Barteam Racing– Baroda led by Mr. Sunil Nigam organized this event
The event was sponsored by MRF MOGRIP and in association with the TVS Motor Company, HERO Motors, IOC- Servo & Sidvin Core-tech. The event was run under the aegis of the FMSCI.

The Championship will now move to Coimbatore for round 2 of the 2015 Championship.

Kerala rider Amal Varghese(17 points) performed well and had 2nd in novice class(group C).
Though Saijith E.S(13 points) exhibits with clearing almost all the jumps and lead first two laps of novice class(group C), he came out with overshooting the cut table top and crashed. He placed 4th.
