The bike features upside down forks up front, a WP monoshock unit at the rear and disc brakes at both ends. The outer tube of the front shocks is machined from aircraft grade aluminium for Light weight and good performance. The hydraulically damped rear suspension with nitrogen gas assist gives 300 mm rear wheel travel. The swing-arm as well as the wheel rims are made of Aluminium to reduce weight.
TVS Apache 300FX, as the name suggests is powered by a 300cc (290.1cc to be exact) single cylinder, 4 valve, four stroke, liquid cooled, DOHC engine. The power output of the Apache 300FX is rated at 45PS at a high 12,000 rpm, and peak torque output rated at 34Nm at 9500 rpm. Progressive and positive engagement and disengagement of the hydraulically controlled clutch is supposed to ensure smooth power delivery
With those figures, the Apache 300FX should be capable of developing close to 160 bhp per litre. TVS claims a flat torque curve through-out the Engine Revs, while the liquid cooled engine ensures optimum engine temperature in all conditions
