Motorsport.Inc owned by Jaidas Menon organisers of the event backed by Maruthi Suzuki seem to have worked quite hard with Adi Anthony to finalise this all new terrain which claimed many victims, yet making it a sweet memorable rally for many.
2200 Kms rally route from Bangalore,Coorg,Hosadurga to Goa included raw,rugged,wet,slushy,dry mountain terrain with rains and cold weather to make more challenging.
190 participants with 16 women participants attached these terrains. And for the first time an aspiring young girl was introduced by me. Aishwarya Pissay was trained/hand holded through the rally as a newcomer
She indeed made me proud by finishing 5th in her category among 9 boys. Mr.Jaidas Menon organiser gave her free entry and CEAT (Baljit Singh Gagandeep Singh Rekhi ) provided service & fuel with Syed Jaffer team provided technical assistance. Personally, I went through hell literally, Day 01 had a massive crash dislocated my left knee broke my clutch lever, end of the day leaving me at 18th place. If not for Samarth Neeraj who pushed started came like an angel if not DNF on day 01.
Following days had to give error free runs and caught up with the leaders by clocking fastest in SSS(Super Special Stage) until another crash breaking my footpegs and rear brake. Paralysed further had to ride conservatively.
By the end of Day 05 had moved 3rd in the category and required 4 mnts to catch up 2nd but somebody had stolen bike keys making it another hard day of rallying. So overall just having finished in podium is a miracle and my trainee in 5th adds confidence that I can manage myself and others.
This adventure rally and crazy week qualify to be listed in my top 5 rallies ever.
