Aravind KP of TVS Racing fought off the stiff challenge of teammate Santosh CS to ride away with top honors in Foreign Open class in the penultimate round of the MRF National Supercross Championship at the Mohite’s Racing Academy, Kolhapur, on Sunday.
The class run over two motos had both Aravind and Santosh end up with reverses for the top spot on the podium. In the first, Santosh stood tall, before aravind won the second and by virtue of winning the second topped the class. In doing so Aravind won the ‘Rider of the Day’ title.
Both riders in the bargain claimed 37 points each (20 points is awarded for winning a moto).
Later in the day, Aravind yet again took pole position on the podium winning the Indian Experts; Group-B class staving off the challenge of HK Pradeep and Pramod Joshua in a near total TVS Racing domination.
Aravind’s win meant winning two of the three motos he contested in the day.
On a day that had seven classes lined up, TVS Racing won five to top the tables. Pradeep Adnan Ahmed (Novice; Gr-C), Pramod Joshua (Indian Experts; Gr-C), Pinkesh Thakkar (Private Experts; Gr-C) were other TVS class winner of the day apart from Aravind’s two.
