Mangalore’s Aravind KP, representing Team TVS Racing, won the Overall class in the fourth round of the MRF MOGRIP FMSCI Indian National Supercross Championship in Hyderabad on Sunday. He won both motos to take maximum points and emerge as the winner.

It was an all-TVS show as Aravind’s teammates AW Tanveer and Rugved Barguje took the second and third places respectively.

There was more glory for Aravind as he won the Class 3 – Indian Experts, Group B title as well, again holding off Tanveer. However, Tanveer had the satisfaction of winning the Class 5 – Indian Experts Class Group “C” race.

The event was held in Jubilee Hills and witnessed over 90 entries from across the nation. This Championship has made a comeback to Hyderabad after a gap of over six years and it received a thumping welcome from the spectators as well as participants.

The SX 2 class for ‘privateers’ on foreign machines saw a hard-fought battle between Jignesh, Ruguved, Abhijit Jadhav and Aditya Thakkar. Between the two motos, Jignesh, Ruguved and Prithvi each shared the lead at some point or the other but eventually it was Jignesh (Nagpur) who was able to hold on to the top spot.

The Locals class received over 17 entries. Yasaswi K and Javed Khan battled it out throughout the five laps before the former won.
