23rd August 2015 – Chennai – The 3rd round of the MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Supercross Championship 2015 was held at the legendary MMSC race Track alongside the MRF Racing Challenge 2015. The Supercross event witnessed over 80 entries from riders across the whole nation.

This event has been one of the toughest for riders in the past several years due to the treacherous track conditions in Chennai owing to the unexpected cyclonic rains over the past several days and the unrelenting heat. The track was a mix or slush and slippery smooth soil and completing the race in itself was a huge challenge. But the riders thoroughly enjoyed racing in these different conditions, which went to prove the level of maturity that the national Supercross talent has reached. This is due to the focus that MRF, FMSCI and GODSPEED Racing have invested into the growth of this sport in India.

The Sunday was dominated by TVS Racing Team. The most prestigious Class which is the SX1 saw Aravind K.P (TVS Racing # 69) winning the overall class today with a 1st place & Abdul Waheed Tanveer (Team TVS) coming in second.

The SX 2 class for ‘privateers’ on foreign machines was a cracker of the race with a hard fought battle between Jignesh, Ruguved and Prince.

A special mention to the newly introduced class, which is the JR SX with all the participants being under the age of 16 years. These children were the real heroes in the eyes of the fantastic Chennai crowds and even received a standing ovation as they took a victory lap around the track.

Mr.Vicky Chandok  & D.M.- Chennai for MRF Mr. Guatam Hari flagged off the event and did the honours.

GODSPEED Racing Pune -organized this event.

The event was sponsored by MRF MOGRIP and in association with the TVS Motor Company, IOC- Servo & Sidvin Core-tech
