Team TVS Racing’s Pramod Joshua began the season on a merry note, completing a rare treble in the MAK-INRC Rally of Coimbatore for two wheelers at the Kethanur windmill farms
Riding a TVS Apache RTR 160, Joshua edged out his teammate K.P. Arvind by a minute and 26 seconds for the top slot in the Group ‘B’ four-stroke 130-165cc class. “I chalked out a game plan and it worked well in my favour,” said Joshua, who was the quickest of the riders in almost every other stage.
Reigning National champion Arvind was not dejected despite finishing second. “I am glad the top position had gone to my friend. I am happy for him.”
There was something to cheer for the home crowd as local hope Venu Ramesh Kumar came up with a hat-trick of wins much to the delight of his fans. Riding a Hero Honda Karizma, the 41-year-old won the Group ‘B’ four-stroke 210 to 260cc class by a 17-second margin.
