KTM Racing organised the latest edition of the Orange Day amidst much fan-fare in Mumbai.
The event was held at the parking lot Imax Big Cinemas in Wadala where a special track was layed out for racing. The Orange Day started at 5:30pm with the participants registering themselves. According to KTM, the main objective of the Orange Day is to give its customers a common platform on which they can race their machines in a safe environment while simultaneously enhancing camaraderie among them
Once the registrations were over a special rider clinic was held for the participants. Since for most of the contestants this was their first opportunity to race on a track, the rider clinic helped them learn the basics of racing like correct riding postures and the correct racing line. Post this; the riders were given a sighting lap around the track so that they could get a feel of the track layout after which the instructors did a demonstration lap. Now it was time to race and after some intriguing racing action that was enjoyed to the core by the spectators gathered, the podium finishers were felicitated.
Speaking at the occasion, Amit Nandi (KTM India Head) said “The KTM brand has its roots in racing and we want KTM owners to experience the thrills that a KTM bike can provide on a race track. Orange days are being conducted in every major city and will keep on growing in scale in the next few months. This is the third time we are conducting Orange Day in Mumbai, as the first version had received very encouraging response from KTM bike owners. KTM is an exclusive premium brand and we are keen to ensure we provide KTM customers an experience that is uniquely KTM.”
Besides this, there will also be service-camps as well as stalls for KTM Power-wear and Power parts for participants. There will be arrangement of refreshments, music and an exclusive ambience of fun and enthusiasm. Sports biking enthusiasts and followers from across the city, can come to witness this first-of-its-kind bike racing event.
