The first edition of the KTM Orange Cup will be held at the MMSC race track in Chennai and will be held on 6th December starting from 6.30 AM
From a long time KTM has been organising racing events like Orange days and Track days, but this is for the first time that the orange maker will be conducting the KTM Orange Cup here in India. Finally KTM has rolled up the sleeves for its maiden ‘One Make Race’ series. The orange machine maker has announced the first edition of the KTM Orange Cup
KTM Orange Cup is basically a one-day event scheduled to commence under the guidelines of FMSCI. You will need the FMSCI license to go ahead with this cup. The race is set to begin at 6.30 AM. The date and time of 6:30 AM is exclusive to owners of the KTM Duke 390 and RC 390. The Orange cup is being conducted under the guidelines of FMSCI and hence come with the necessary safety rules. Riders will have to follow these rules for the entire event and the next series.
KTM shall be helping in getting the FMSCI licenses for the riders. Since it’s the track, riders need to wear a one piece leather suit and race standard equipment. You can also get a two piece leather pant and jacket combination as well. However, the 360 degrees zipper is standard. KTM has divided and made separate classes for both Duke 390 riders and RC 390 riders. Bikes cannot be shared at any level and under any circumstances.
The race qualifying will be done based on the lap times of the participants. Interested KTM owners can contact their nearest KTM dealers for more details and registration for the event.
