C.D. Jinan faced a lot of problems with his bike on Sunday. As the riders lined up for the start of the Indian Open, the premier event of the Kingfisher ‘King of the Dirt Track’ race at Panangad’s Synthite Ground, the 37-year-old had an anxious look as mechanics worked on his vehicle at the team tent.
Jinan rushed in, just in time for the start.
But once he took off, he led all the way for an impressive victory in the 12-lap Indian Open.
“It was very tough. My bike had a few problems, the wheel hub was broken,” said the racer from Thrissur, representing Quilon Motor Sports Club.
Jinan, who rides for the Kawasaki team in Dubai, suffered a loss to Harith Noah in one of the two foreign class races earlier and this made the day a thriller for racing fans
