Gulf Cup Dirt Track Racing Rules and Regulations

CONCEPT:
This event will consist of 4 qualifying rounds and a fifth final round. The final round will be known as Gulf Cup Dirt Track Racing – Clash of Titans To be eligible to participate in the 5th round we will have 4 rounds prior to the final rounds. Maximum 15 and minimum 6 riders will be selected from 4 qualifying rounds Cumulative points of four rounds will be considered for their eligibility in their final round for their respective classes.

It will be a pre-conditioned that the rider should have taken the start and be a finisher in at least 3 rounds amongst the four for him to qualify in Gulf Cup Dirt Track Racing – Clash of Titans.

As stated minimum of 6 riders will qualify for each class irrespective of above clause The first Round will be scheduled for the 26th & 27th April at Mangalore.

By and large all the classes rules and regulations will remain the same as was in 2007’s rounds except for Novice class we will be running Group ‘C’. The technical data is posted on Sportscraft India’s  website. The SR once approved by the federation will be posted on Sportscraft India’s  website.

IMPORTANT:
Conditions for being eligible for start money & discounts
From 2008 the competitors can submit their entries for all the four rounds at a time. If they desire to take part in Race – 1 & Race – 2 they must submit the entries together. Completed form in all respects can be submitted to Sportscraft office by 4th April 2008. There will be Rs. 100/- concession for each round per class per race provided all the documents are in order. Also riders who submit a combined form for the four events will be considered first for the 25 entrants eligible for start money. He will be eligible for start money provided he completes 50% of laps for both Race -1 & Race -2
No money will be refunded if one fails to report for the event. The riders who will qualify for the Clash of Titans (fifth & final round) will have to pay their entry fees with in four days of the completion of fourth round or the next person will be selected
Insurance :
Only during the running of the event, all FMSCI Competition License holders are insured for
    i) Personal Accident Insurance: Rs.1,00,000/-
   ii) Hospitalization benefits: Rs.20,000/-

Please note:
However, it is strongly advised that all riders take necessary and adequate additional insurance covers on their own including hospitalization benefits.
Please note that a normal insurance policy in India does not cover motor sports.
Please renew your FMSCI licenses for 2008.
This cup will run from the financial year April 2008 – March 2009.
