FMSCI-LogoThe Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) has issued a Technical Bulletin for two wheelers making the Tyres FREE for Group “B” (fully modified class).

As per the 2008 Technical Regulations, the tyres are FREE for Dirt Track & other off-road events even for the unmodified class (Group “D”) but the tyres were restricted to “Indian Component only” for Racing, Rallying & Raids on recommendation from the Racing Commission. However, many competitors / teams have insisted that for Group “C” (modified class) & Group “B” (fully modified class) the tyres should be made FREE on consideration of safety particularly for racing. Responding to this, the FMSCI has issued this bulletin making the Tyres FREE but for Group “B” only.

Since this change is on consideration of SAFETY, the bulletin comes in to effect immediately. Group “B” bikes participate in both the FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (FMSCI INRC) starting in April 2008 and the Indian National Racing Championship in June 2008.
