The 28th Monsoon Scooter Rally will be run in Mumbai on July 1-2. Like previous years, the popular annual two-wheeler event, sponsored by Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. and organized by Sportscraft, will be run along thebackwoods of Navi Mumbai.
The rally, open to all Indian-made scooters – two-stroke, four-stroke and gearless – is offering trophies and over Rs. 1, 50,000 in cash prizes. The different classes for competition are:
Class S-1 (Above 80 upto 110cc -Two stroke)
Class S-2 (Above 110cc upto 160cc – Two stroke)
Class FSG-1 (Upto 130 cc – Four Stroke)
Class FSG-2 (Above 130 cc Upto 160cc – Four Stroke)
Ladies Class
Standard entries will be accepted till 22nd June, 1700 hours, while late entries close on 27th June, 1300 hours.
Special prizes are being offered to riders from Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Bhopal, Kolhapur, Vidarbha, and Hyderabad. There is also special ladies class.
A maximum of 60 entries will be accepted on first come basis. Sportscraft reserves the right to reject and increase the number of entries.
The briefing and scrutiny for riders will be held on 1st July. It will be followed by a ceremonial star from Our Lady’s Home, 205, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Dadar, Mumbai-400 014. The main event is on July 2. The start and finish will be at K-Star Hotel Navi Mumbai
