Santosh has been the pioneer for adventure biking in India and the country’s number one racer on two wheels. He is also the face of Indian adventure on the international stage with participation in the Dakar Rally Compared to that, he admits the Desert Storm would be easy. “After Dakar, everything else feels easy. When I first did the Desert Storm, it was the toughest and longest rally in India. This is not to say that the Desert Storm doesn’t have its challenges.
“I am excited about the race and the competition too as I prepare for the Dakar at the end of the year. Everything in my life revolves around training for it,” Santosh said in conversation with THE HINDU correspondent
Besides Santosh, the other Indians in the fray competing for the title would be Arvind K.P. and Nataraj R. And Santosh said he was keen to match his wits and skills with the other two.
“They have both won the Raid de Himalaya so they have the experience and skill to match the best. It would be an interesting battle,” he added.
