CS Santosh is the winner of the ZigWheels Motorsport Award of the Year 2015 picking a winner in the Motorsport Award of the Year category was difficult. 2015 saw a lot of Indian racers set new benchmarks in the world of motorsports. Armaan Ebrahim finished second in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series, Jehan Daruvala finshed fifth in the Formula Renault Northern European Cup, K Rajini took top honours in the Pirelli Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSC) and then of course, CS Santosh who became the first Indian to participate and complete the Dakar Rally in 2015.
After a lot of hard work and preparation, CS Santosh finally got a seat in the legendary Dakar Rally 2015. Riding the KTM 450 Dakar bike, the Bangalore lad started the legendary race from 85th place and gradually made his way up the ranks. Despite suffering from an injured shoulder, bleeding from the nose and fracturing his toe, CS Santosh continued his Dakar campaign finally finishing in a impressive 36th place among 79 finishers out of 168 who started. For his dedication, strong will and most importantly etching the country and his name in the history books
