Following 2 rounds, Ceat Pune Invitational Supercross League 2014 grand finale is underway as national and international bikers set to secure max points for their teams.
First two legs were held in Nashik and Kolhapur, as the league finals are now attracting fans in Pune. Team Bhalla Royale leads the table with 282 points, followed by Team Aranha Racing at 256 points, and SKP Highrollers with 252 points. Harith Noah of Aranha Racing has secured 80 points, i.e., maximum points secured by any rider in MX1 category. Harith remains a star attraction in MX1 category after securing top honors in both previous legs.
Team Bhalla Royale’s R Natraj in the MX4 category (Indian Expert Class – Indian Made Bikes) will not be participating owing to a fractured collar bone after a major fall during National Championship at Bangalore. R Natraj contributed top points to his team with 80 points having finished at the top in both legs.
SX category will see international riders compete. Dennis Stapleton’s (USA) supercross skills will be tested. International riders segment will be a major crowd attraction. MXJ category will see junior riders on track. Final leg is scheduled on December 14th 2014 from 6 PM onwards at Koregaon Park. Practice session was held on December 12th.
In prior years, supercross didn’t offer much to winning rider’s prize money-wise. Ceat Pune Invitational Supercross League 2014 powered by Gulf beckons a positive change to that attitude.
