Scrutiny and competitor trials held and saw a good turnout of enthusiastic spectators who stood their till the final moments of the first day of the event.
6th Hero Racing OYA Autocross Motocross and off Road Challenge was flagged-off by the Deputy Commissioner, Tejinder Pal Sidhu and the Principal of YPS School, RP Devgan on Saturday at GMADA ground, opposite PUDA office in Mohali .
OYA Autocross Motocross and off Road Challenge witnessed nearly 120 qualifying rounds held on the first day. Participants from all across the country took part in the much-talked about event of North India.
On the first day, Sohail Ahmad, Naresh VS, Yash Pawar performed pretty well in the Motocross category, whereas Sanjay Sikand, Bobbi Bhogal, Parishrut Jinha and Jagdir Nirwan were the participants that did exemplary well in the Autocross category.Despite the chill, all the participants displayed their motoring skills, heating up the ambience.
Dhanasekar D, team leader, Hero Racing team, who is also the first Race engineer from India DSBK- World Super Bike-Racing looked very excited about the event. As per Dhanasekar D, “Hero Racing team has brought nine Motocross champion riders from all over the country to compete in the event. Hero is also the first Indian Manufacturer to enter WSBK. It has not only set fire on the International tracks, Hero Racing Team claimed 3 championship titles at MRF Supercross championship 2014, which is indeed a feat.”
The same enthusiasm hopes to be repeated on the day two of the event. Naunihal Singh, DIG, Punjab will flag off the event for the final day at 10 am.
The organisers Gulpreet Aulakh and Nikhil Jaspal of the event were happy with the way the participants performed and they hope day two will be pretty happening as well.
