Vipul Hadgalkar(VH|46) and Vignesh Raja(VR|18) from Mumbai took part in the MECO-FJRS Motorcycle Racing 2017 Round 1, which was held in Kari motor speedway , Coimbatore on 29th ad 30th April. Vipul rode a KTM RC 200 and Vignesh rode a Honda CBR 250.
Vipul participated in upto 300cc category in 2017 for the first time and qualified at P5. In race 1 competition was good till the 4th lap, but all of sudden, he started facing issue with gear shifting like engine breaking, but he still managed to finish at P7 in race 1 and P6 in race 2 respectively. Overall it was a good experience and battle. He improved better than last time and needs to work harder and learn more in terms of adapting the bike as well as the track. He will be participating in round 2 and will give a better performance.
In practice sessions Vignesh was the second fastest on the track in upto 300cc class, but unfortunately crashed in corner 1, which damaged his front breaking system so he qualified at P7. His bike was prepared for race 1 and 2 but handling was not up to the mark. Still he managed to finish at P5 in race 1 and P4 in race 2 respectively. Now he is preparing for round 2 and will be coming back very strong and will try to be on podium.
