Suzuki Motorcycles India has won a lot of praise for its 150cc motorcycle – Gixxer – and now the company is all set to launch a new version of the bike on April 7, 2015. Called the Gixxer SF, it will feature a full-fairing, thus making it a competitor for bikes like the 150cc Yamaha YZF-R15.
The essential styling of the Gixxer SF will be similar to the naked version of the bike, and will retain the same fuel tank, side panels, grab rails and the tail piece. The new fairing will be the only differentiator between the two bikes.
Furthermore, the Suzuki Gixxer SF will continue to be powered by the same engine, i.e. the air-cooled, 155cc, single-cylinder unit. Though the power generated will remain the same – 13.8bhp – we hear it will offer a better top-speed.
Other similarities between the two bikes will include the digital instrument cluster that offers features like trip meter, adjustable shift light, gear indicator, and a clock.
The SF will certainly cost more than the naked version of the Gixxer, which is currently priced at Rs. 73,000.
