20th edition of the Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya, which will be flagged off on October 8th, will begin from Ladakh and would conclude on 13th October
The Raid de Himalaya, the only Indian motorsport event listed on the off-road rallies calendar of Federation Internationale Motorcyclisme (FIM), Geneva, Switzerland, has been organized by the Himalayan Motorsport Association and sponsored by Yokohama India
50 riders will be participate this event including three women bikers Sarah Kashyap,Aishwaraya P.M and Fazeela
The Himalayan Motorsport Association was formed in 1999 with the aim of conducting motorsporting events in the Himalayan regions of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.
All members of HMA have been associated with motorsport for the last 20 to 30 years as rally drivers or organizers, across the country.
Other events run by HMA include the Dhorra Kross (Desert 4 x 4 training in Rajasthan) and the Ice Kross (Snow and Ice 4 x 4 training in Himachal/ Kashmir). Both these events are organized annually and showcase HMA’s expertise in the field of cross country driving.
