The 2016 Oilibya Rally Morocco has come to an end with the fifth and final stage. Hero MotoSports Team Rally successfully finished the event and will Morocco with positive outlook.
The final stage of the rally was a 230km test for the man and the machine. Hero riders CS Santosh finished the fifth stage 24th and despite his problems on Wednesday managed to finish the rally in 60th position overall.
Santosh was also in good spirits after managing to finish the rally, he commented, “Coming here to Morocco we knew it´s going to be very competitive.”
He added, “The OiLybia marked the final test before the Rally Dakar as well as the world championship finale, so all the top riders were showing up. Right from the beginning we had two good days, a good pace and I was just outside the Top 20.”
He further said, “Overall it´s been as tough as expected, but there has been a lot of positive learning. It´s good to have problems now instead of having them in January. Going to the Dakar we should have a better run and stay out of trouble. It was a lot of valuable time on the motorcycle.”
