The 17th edition of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Supercross Championship 2016 will be held in Coimbatore. This will be the 2nd round of the 6 round FMSCI National Supercross Championship

GODSPEED Racing, Pune spearheaded by 7 times National motorsports Champion Mr. Shyam Kothari have owned the rights of organizing this Championship for the last 5 years.

NS Racing of Coimbatore headed by Mr. Kamal Kannan the chief architects of this National Supercoss event which will be held on the 25th&26th of June 2016 at Codessia on Avanashi Road, Coimbatore.

Supercross is a motorcycling sport that involves off-road motorcycles racing on artificially created dirt track consisting of steep jumps and obstacles

The 17th edition of the MRFMoGrip-FMSCI National Supercross championship has attracted almost 100 across the 8 categories.

Supercross is gaining popularity in India, with close to ten thousand spectators thronging each of the venues last year, leading to an increase in participation and growing involvement and support from corporate houses and media alike.

MRF Tyre Limited is the title sponsor; TVS Motor Company, SidvinEnergy and IOC Servo are associate

Aravind K.P, Tanveer AW, Rugved Barguje all are from Team TVS Racing the Indian riders who have participated in recent Asian Supercross events in Sri Lanka and the UAE.

Aravind KP who is currently leading the Championship will be making his debut in the Dakar Rally as only the 2nd Indian to ride the most demanding race in the world after C.SSantosh who also has won several titles in the MRF MOGRIP National Supercross  Championships in the past.

Those will be the names to watch out for along with privateers Jignesh Patel, Prince Singh and Jatin Jain (Nagpur), sure to be enthralling the spectators with their daredevil style.Suhail, Pinkesh&Naresh are the force and will lead the battle in the ‘Group C’ races.

Anand, Vikram Shekhar, Navneet Krishnan, Jagadish Kumar, Asar is the army from Coimbatore who will be among the favorites to win the Locals Class and put up a stiff fight in the Group ‘C’ category.

Names to watch out for in the popular Jr. Supercoss  class are SarthakChavan and Karan Karle.

SX 1 (Foreign Open, Group A, Two/Four Stroke, up to 250cc Two-Stroke and 500cc Four- Stroke). Will now be a combination of the Pro riders & the Experts riders ·

SX 2 (Foreign Open, Group A, Two/Four Stroke, up to 250cc Two-Stroke and 500cc Four- Stroke) ·

Junior SX (Open to Group A/B/C/D up to 260cc). Below 15 years.

Indian Expert Class Group B (Two/Four Stroke, up to 260cc)

Indian Expert Class Group C (Two/Four Stroke, up to 260cc)

Novice Class, Group C (Two/Four Stroke, up to 260cc)

Locals Class

The technically demanding track is750 meters in length, whichincludes12 doublejumps, a cuttabletop, 1 tabletop, whoops and berms. The organizers have created a very demanding track, which will separate the boys from the men.

The scrutiny & administration checks for this event will be held on Friday the24th& Saturday the 25thof June 2016
