This edition of the india Bike Week saw bikers descend into Goa from as far off asĀ Australia, South Africa, Malaysia and South East Asia, the UK and Germany. With over 12,000 bikers in attendance, the fourth edition of India Bike Week (IBW) was the biggest, and craziest yet.
Among the big names present at the event was C.S. Santosh, the only Indian to have conquered the infamous Dakar Rally.
Also present was British Moto Trials legend, Dougie Lampkin who said, ” It was an absolutely thrilling experience to have been a part of INDIA BIKE WEEK 2016. Goa is a beautiful place, filled with beautiful people and to top that off the atmosphere here during the festival was simply electric.”
“It was great to see so many motorcycling enthusiasts together and that truly reflected the growing culture for biking in India. I now understand from them why India Bike Week is mentioned as the ultimate biker’s paradise, and while it is great to see the culture for biking take root in the country, I’m honored to have been a part.”
India Bike Week 2016 witnessed the finals of the National Stunt Bike Championship. After battling it out in the arena and putting up a tough fight, the Istunt team from Mumbai bagged the championship title for the second time. The winners of the National Stunt Bike Championship won a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The second best spot was secured by Hot Pistonz, while Steel Silencers took the third spot
Where there are bikers, there is dust. And the 2016 India Bike Week saw a lot of it at the Dirty 20 Enduro challenge. Participants could bring in their motorcycles and ride over a specially designed Endurance Track for both the days and put their skills off the road to test. CS Santosh awarded the winner of the Dirty 20 Enduro Challenge, with a cash prize of Rs 10,000
The biggest news with regards to bikes was the unveileing of the Ducati 959 Panigale and the new harley Davidson range along with the DC designed ‘Legend On Wheels‘ mobile Harley dealership.
