Eshan Lokhande will be first Indian to participate in UK championship; he will be racing for Samsung Yamaha team.
Indian auto segement is on fast pace in the world of racing, after marking its presence in F1 racing, India will be soon waving its flag in the 2011 MotoGP championship. Mahindra will be competing with its race team in the entry level 125cc competition. This time and Indian racer will be competing internationally.
Eeshan Lokhande a motocross racer from Pune has been selected to race for team Samsung Yamaha as MX2 class rider UK. Eeshan will be racing in the Red Bull British Pro Championship 2011 on a Yamaha 250cc motocross bike.
Eeshan will also race in some selected rounds of Maxxis British Championship and when he returns from his UK tour he will compete in MRF National Supercross series.
Samsung Yamaha had tested skills of Eeshan at Essex Moto Park in UK and once they were satisfied Eeshan was signed as a MX2 rider for the 2011 season.
Eeshan is around with motocross bikes since 2005 when he had started with his carrier. Till date he is being showing success and consistency in his performance and has also raced in some international events like Asian Nations of Motocross, 2007 where Eeshan was the only Indian to finish in top ten
Team Sumsung and Yamaha have taken the right decision for selecting Eeshan. Such kind of support puts focus on events such as motocross and will let produce more racer like Eeshan to compete at international level. Samsung and Yamaha are around to gather for more than eight years and hold a respectful position in the Motocross race category. Eeshan will be trained as per the terms of international racing so that Samsung Yamaha has its serious contender ready for race.
