Dirtbike manufacturer Husqvarna is a part of KTM-Sport motorcycle is planning to enter India. Currently, KTM is utilising Bajaj Auto’s facility to manufacture and export products to various markets. KTM now plans to use the Chakan facility in Pune for Husqvarna motorcycle production as well.
The models manufactured in India will be offered to emerging markets of Husqvarna. Initially, KTM and Husqvarna plan on using engines and components manufactured in India.
There is a possibility that Husqvarna could use KTM engines developed at Chakan, Pune by Bajaj Auto. Initially, they could make use of the 125cc and 375cc single cylinder engines. Currently, Bajaj Auto offers low production cost, which translates to competitive pricing
