Yesterday’s 450 Kms of special stage summarized as the most technical and challenging stage of all stages saw almost every top rider lose their way including Sam Suderland who gave away 17 mins to Pablo Quintanilla team Husqvarna. Pablo however later lost his way, had mechanical issues and then physical issues calling for medical help retiring from Dakar 2017.
On another incident, Sven Svitko from KTM, runner-up of last year is collapsed on the road section on his way to service park at San Juan and had to be taken to the hospital.
Amidst all this drama in the front CS Santosh managed to clock 37th fastest among 110 bikes that took the start for the day which has moved 12 positions ahead him to 51st position overall.
Today second last day of Dakar Stage 11, Santosh will head to tackle the 288 Km special stage in 40 plus degrees humidity and heat at the San Juan dunes, which will come in the first 50 Kms of the special stage later, hit the WRC tracks of the Córdoba region.
