In a major disappointment for Indian motorsport fans, CS Santosh from Hero Motosports Rally team is out of the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Rally 2018 where a massive crash towards the end of Stage 4 left the rider with a painful neck injury and forcing him to withdraw from the rally. Santosh will soon be undergoing detailed evaluation
Following Santosh’s injury, as a precautionary measure, Hero MotoSports Team Rally has decided to pull out of the rally. The team has taken this decision keeping rider safety as the top priority. Santosh was the sole rider from Hero participating in the rally.
Withdrawal of CS Santosh means Angata Racing’s Aaron Mate and Sanjay Kumar is the first and second respectively.
