American Gavin Faith returns to defend Australian Supercross Lites title

Australian Supercross Lites Champion Gavin Faith will return to Australia for the season opener at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway on September 12-15.

Faith dominated the 2012 series, winning three of the four rounds, to take the title ahead of Ryan Marmont and Kade Mosig.

The American, finished fifth in the 2013 AMA Supercross East Coast Championship and has spent the past few months testing at the Millsaps Training Facility, preparing for his return to the Australian Supercross Championship.

Faith is looking forward to reuniting with the Carlton Dry Honda Racing team and said he was excited to see the series kicking off with a double header in Darwin.

“Darwin looks like an exciting place to visit, I am hoping to get to see some of the region while I am there. I would really love to get out on one of the famous Northern Territory Fishing charters.

 

“This will be my third visit to Australia for Supercross and this year I return as the defending champion. I am quietly confident, I am coming off a good season in the USA,” Faith continued.

“I am really excited about the double header in Darwin,” Faith said. “It is great to see the series targeting a new audience.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the Australian Supercross Championship will be held at the September event that will also host Round 6 of the QBE Australian Superbike Championship similar to the famous Dayton Bike week event.
