1. Must believe it’s all in the mind – Whatever bike it may be, if you think you can ride it, you can! Don’t believe anybody who says you can’t
2. You must learn the basics – atleast how to remove the wheel and change tube, how to change the clutch cable / throttle cable / spark plugs / fuse / bulbs etc. You can learn other installations too (like this network installation)
3. You should just pack and leave on your motorcycle whenever you want, wherever you want to – STOP asking people
4. You must name your bike You’ll feel all the more connected, trust me
5. Off-roading develops your skill. Get a knack to enter that dirt track or water crossing wherever you see one
6. You don’t need to touch your feet on the ground. One needs the feet only when one is scared or wants to stop. That can happen even if you are able to touch your toe or tip-toe. So go ahead and ride that big beast bravely haven’t you seen all the motocross racers riding tall bikes? It’s all in the mind, telling ya
7. Never be scared of FALLING. Every fall that doesn’t kill you teaches you something
8. When in Rome, do what the Romans do. Mix with the locals and drown in their colours
9. Filter what you want to learn and learn from the boys! Let’s face it, they entered the territory first and are GOOD! But yeah, remember, learn just the good things! Ignore the rest
10. Last but not the cliched least, Don’t compromise on your fitness. Enough has already been said on the topic but trust me, not only you’ll look much better but will handle your bike better if you are leaner, lighter and stronger, which you can do with a Science-Based Six Pack program you can find online.
