Bengaluru, Points mattered more than victory as Krish Gupta (Senior Max), Rivaan Dev Preetham (Junior Max), Arshi Gupta (Mini Max) and Ayansh Patil (Micro Max) emerged Overall champions in the MECO FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship RMC India 2026 with SIDVIN Energy Engineering as the Presenting Sponsor and MRF Tyres as the partner sponsor, which concluded at the Meco Kartopia,
None of the four National champions won the Finals race in their respective categories but picked up sufficient points to annex the titles as the sixth and final round of the championship witnessed thrilling battles up and down the grid.
Krish Gupta, Rivaan Dev Preetham and Arshi Gupta earned tickets to the World Rotax Max Grand Finals to be held at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve circuit in Portugal from November 7-14. The global event will see 432 elite racers from 60-plus nations go head-to-head on one of Europe’s most thrilling circuits.
Mumbai’s Krish Gupta (Rayo Racing) finished third in the Finals and second in the Pre-Finals even as the challenge from his closest rival, Bengaluru’s Akshat Misra (Peregrine Racing) faded. The points helped him to survive a late surge from Chennai’s Eshanth Vengatesan (MSPORT) who won all the sessions (Practice, Qualifying, two Heats, Pre-Finals and Finals) in the Senior class but still fell short. Eshanth, last year’s Junior champion, was simply outstanding this weekend and delivered a flawless performance.
In the Junior Max category, Chennai’s Rivaan Dev Preetham (MSPORT) expectedly took the title despite by a wretched weekend when he was overshadowed by his team-mate Rishik Rohit Reddy from Bengaluru who won all the sessions only to miss the title by just a handful of points. On Sunday, Rivaan got caught up in a mid-grid incident in the Pre-Finals and was classified 15th. Later, he was placed sixth in the Finals which fetched him sufficient points to pip Rishik in the championship stakes.
Similarly, Faridabad’s Arshi Gupta (Leapfrog Racing) went into the weekend with a comfortable lead in the championship points table but suffered a series of setbacks that saw her finish without a win in any of the sessions. However, she was classified ninth and 10th in the Pre-Finals and Finals, respectively, which gave her just enough points to annex the title. Bengaluru’s Jishnu Seralathan (Peregrine Racing) drove well to win the Finals while team-mate Micah Hayden Andrews from Eruvadi topped the Pre-Finals.
Kolhapur’s Ayansh Patil (MSPORT) secured two podium finishes today in the Pre-Finals and Finals which saw him finish ahead of Aarav Sureka (MSPORT) from Mumbai in the Micro Max final championship standings.
