Once again Manjeet Singh Bassan proved a class above the rest of the field to win the Sportscraft-organised Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally sponsored by Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. around the backwoods of Navi Mumbai on Sunday 6th July 2008. This is Manjeet Singh’s 5th win in Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally. Astride a his LML Vespa he zipped through the 74 kms course with minimum penalty of 31 minutes and 49 seconds, well ahead of second-placed Rustom Patel and Shamim Khan who finished third. The round 2 of the FIM Asia Supercross Championship was held at the purpose built Supercross Circuit located at the Kaveh Industrial Park Zone, Iran between June 25 & 27, 2008. Competitors from Iran, India, Srilanka, UAE, Mongolia, Indonesia, Philipines fought for the honors. From India we had C.S. Santosh and Veer Patel taking part in this round. In the qualifying session, C.S. Santosh proved his mettle and qualified 2nd with a timing of 1:16.545. In Moto1, Santosh who was riding a Suzuki (Comp.No.26), unfortunately had a fall and had to settle for the 13th place.
